Mixed-dimensional modeling of tumor growth and angiogenesis
A mixed-dimensional model of tumor growth in which an evolving one-dimensional vascular network carries blood and nutrients through three-dimensional tissue.
Mechanistic modeling of tumor growth informed by hyperpolarized MRI, with David Fuentes, James Bankson and J. Tinsley Oden.
Held as co-PI under David Fuentes, and reported apart from the PI-led total. It is where the optimal-experimental-design line began: which measurement to make, given that the model is uncertain and the experiment is expensive. That question carried forward to mutual-information design for hyperpolarized ¹³C-pyruvate MRI and, more recently, to design for magnetic-nanoparticle hyperthermia.
