The CEAD Lab develops educational resources that connect continuum models, numerical methods, scientific software, and verification.
This Fall 2026 graduate course develops finite element methods as both a mathematical and computational framework. Heat conduction and solid mechanics serve as recurring model problems, and FEniCSx is used for implementation and numerical investigation. The accompanying open book is being developed alongside the course and will continue to grow as new chapters and computational examples are completed.
